Leading French rental company Groupe Novelty has added a number of Yamaha QL1 digital consoles to its inventory, meeting its need for a high-quality audio mixer in a compact format – one of several reasons why the company has invested in 12 consoles.

With more than 40 years’ experience in providing audio and visual solutions to a wide range of clients, Groupe Novelty operates five French offices, a further office in London and one in Brussels, handling in excess of 6,000 projects annualy. These include some of Europe’s highest-profile corporate events, fashion shows for leading designers and brands, car launches, exhibitions, awards shows and live music.

‘The QL1 is the ideal size and format for many of the events we work on and it is an exceptionally cost-effective solution,’ says Jérôme Gasselin, Directeur Technique at Novelty. ‘In addition, most sound engineers and technicians knows Yamaha mixers, so they are very used operating them.

‘Another reason for purchasing the QL1s was that we use Yamaha CL consoles and R-series I/O units on our events. Adding the QL1s means we can also integrate them easily into larger systems using Dante and the wide compatibility offered by the onboard MY-series card slot.’
