Image-Line’s FL Studio 12 workstation is now compatible with Waves Audio plug-ins.
Formerly FruityLoops, FL Studio 12 is a digital audio workstation for Windows PCs (or Intel Mac/Bootcamp). Its fully-featured sequencer supports VST, DX and ReWire plug-ins, and uses its own plug-in architecture. Evolved from a Midi drum machine sequencer, the workstation 32-bit floating-point engine and supports sampling rates up to 192kHz.
Aimed at electronic music composition and sampling, it offers time stretching/pitch shifting and beat slicing, as well as audio editing. The DAW package includes virtual effects – ranging from guitar pedal simulations through vocoding to visualisation – and samplers.
FL Studio can be used as a VST instrument in other digital audio workstations.
‘Waves is excited to join forces with Image-Line, enabling FL Studio 12 users to augment their processing capabilities,’ says Mick Olesh, Waves EVP of Sales & Marketing. ‘This is an additional step in Waves’ continuing strategy of supporting the creative process of recording and mixing by providing all DAW users the freedom to use our plug-ins everywhere and anywhere.’
‘We are pleased to be Waves-enabled, giving our users the opportunity for enhanced processing capabilities,’ says Scott Fisher, Image-Line Communications Manager.
