Moments away from the Muelle de Santa Catalina cruise dock, the Terraza Kopa is one of the top spots in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Located on the ground floor of El Muelle shopping centre, the venue required a sound installation system that could accommodate spaces designed for combining cocktails and conversation, as well as other areas for live performance.
The owners called in local sound company Canarias Hipermusic, and after analyzing the venue the technicians recommended systems from DAS Audio. Twelve DAS Series Action 12As were installed around the terrace, where guests can enjoy the setting and the climate. These user-friendly systems feature a 12-inch speaker, 1kW peak power and class-D bi-amplification.
At weekends, the venue’s stage hosts live music performances that turn Kopa Las Palmas into the hottest nightclub in town. Here, the Canarias Hipermusic team opted for Aero Series 2 line array systems – a total of eight Aero 8A ultra-compact powered line array systems were installed in two clusters of four systems each on either side of the stage. Four DAS LX-215A powered subwoofers provide extended bass response.
With the new DAS professional sound reinforcement system in place, the Terraza Kopa has quickly become one of the most coveted spots in Las Palmas.
