Warwickshire-based audio postproduction company Sounding Sweet is set to expand its range of services having recently secured new premises to complement its existing sound studios.
Located in Stratford upon Avon, the new 1,329-sq ft-offices are located in the centre of Leamington Spa, which is now referred to as ‘Silicon Spa’, the heart of the UK video gaming industry. The Warwick Street premises will enable the company to increase its head count and offer a comprehensive range of sound production services. Sounding Sweet has extensive experience and expertise in sound recording and the creation of audio content for TV, film and video games.
‘Leamington Spa is now regarded as one of the UK’s leading locations for creative media industries and, due to our game audio production background, it was the obvious choice to open our new premises here,’ says company MD, Ed Walker. ‘The offices are ideally situated in the middle of the UK on the doorstep of the country’s second largest city, Birmingham, and also within striking distance of London. These new facilities will allow Sounding Sweet to take on more staff which in turn will enable us to increase our ability to deliver high quality results more effectively and within a quicker time frame.’
Sounding Sweet’s range of services include: sound design, music composition, field recording, voice recording, technical implementation, ADR, sound mixing, casting and localisation. Facilities include a 7.1 surroun-sound dubbing suite, six edit suites and two voiceover booths which double as Foley studios and music recording spaces when necessary.
