London-based karaoke company Sunfly is extending its reach from the UK’s bars and clubs, and is now looking to take over the TV. The omapny’s streaming service is designed to win the attention of a market that is accepting of Spotify and YouTube, allowing them to discover the service and then introduce all the family to customised karaoke streaming.
The karaoke technology company – which is marking its 25th anniversary – has launched a browser-based streaming service that will allow every household in the UK to access its karaoke library through tablets, laptops, smart phones and TVs. The intention is to bring a ‘seismic shift’ to Saturday night entertainment, catering for the X Factor/Britain’s Got Talent generation as well as the traditional karaoke fans.
‘With the introduction of Sunfly’s easy-to-use and customisable karaoke streaming service every home in the country will be able to enjoy karaoke in a way they have never done before,’ explains Head of Development, Dan Maidstone. ‘Anyone can create their own personal playlist from a 15,000-strong catalogue and specially curated playlists.’
