Broadcaster for the Polish Football Premier League, Ekstraklasa Live Park has commissioned its new Streamline S12 live production OB vehicle. Built by German system integrator Broadcast Solutions, the truck is already working on production for live football league coverage in cooperation with NEP Sweden (formerly Mediatec).
The Streamline S12 is the first OB owned by the company directly, as the company had previously rented production facilities. Key factors for Ekstraklasa Live Park choosing the constructor were to deliver a compact design, within a short delivery time and reasonable costs. German company Broadcast Solutions built and delivered the truck to Ekstraklasa Live Park within three months from order to delivery.
‘We were looking for an experienced company that could guarantee top level quality,’ confirms Ekstraklasa Live Park COO, Marcin Serafin. ‘Broadcast Solutions has produced a lot of OBs over the past couple of years, and their quality was demonstrated by other clients. Another very important aspect was the time of delivery – we only had three months for the complete project, and Broadcast Solutions did it in time.’
Streamline OB Vans are pre-engineered to offer technically advanced production tools that are easy to manage. Since each van is similar in its overall design, different production teams easily feel at home, reducing set-up times – an important factor for live production broadcast.
The audio operation of the 12-camera truck is based around a48-fader Lawo, mc256 Mk.II mixing console and VSM (Virtual Studio System) set-up, using a Lawo Nova73 compact router and Riedel Artist 128/Riedel MediorNet Stagebox for its intercom facilities.
Ekstraklasa Live Park’s Streamline OB Van is dedicated to Ekstraklasa games. It will be used in more than 100 football game productions per year. Additionally the company will also produce galas, concerts and further sports and special events.
