Source Distribution has taken on exclusive UK distribution of Vicoustic treatment panelling and products.

Scrub StudioFounded in Portugal in 2007 by César Carapinha, Vicoustic develops acoustic treatment products that combine performance with the high-quality materials and modern design. Clients currently include the BBC, ITV, Sony, Microsoft and SAE Institute.

Vicoustic products serve multiple market sectors, spanning music and broadcast, home cinema, and building and construction, and comply with demanding fire ratings, safety and environmental regulations, whilst maintaining competitive cost levels and a high level of performance.

The development and deployment of Vicoustic products is supported by customer support and education, which includes a bespoke customer project planning service, as well as the Vicoustic Academy training programme. Products are developed in the Vicoustic Research Centre and R&D Laboratory, featuring an ‘adjustable room’ Lab Test Facility, and facilities that allow rigorous real-world testing and qualification of products.

Source Distribution has previouslycommissioned Vicoustic to treat sister company Scrub’s Genelec Experience listening facility in Central London. Source Distribution Pro Audio Product Specialist Andy Bensley oversaw the installation first-hand and commented on the announcement: ‘The opportunity to work first-hand with Vicoustic for the Wells St installation cemented my respect for the company. We saw first-hand the transformative performance of their product range, but especially for the incredible expertise of the company staff. The before-and-after results speak for themselves - they’ve created a space that is now incredibly well controlled, leaving clients stunned at the results they witness here on a daily basis.’

‘Commercially, the Vicoustic product range perfectly complements our existing brand portfolio and encourages further growth into new markets,’ says Source Distribution Director of Sales & Marketing, Darren Power. ‘We’re looking forward to a bright future working closely together.’
