Aimed at portable live sound and fixed installations that require multiple outputs from a few inputs, the 4x4R offers four inputs, each switchable between a mic and line. Each of four input sections offers a six-LED meter, switched 48V phantom power, 66dB of mic gain and a ‘listen’ function to monitor any of the four input sections through the front panel headphone amp. In addition, each input section can be linked to the adjacent input section offering four different input to output options: 4x4, 3x12 +1x4, 2x8 or 1x16. Optional transformer isolation is also available.
‘The 4x4R is a very flexible and cost-effective tool,’ says Ken Giles, Sales Director at Drawmer. ‘Multiple units can be configured and racked to provide precisely the number of channels needed for each job, and you can tailor the number of transformer-isolated outputs to suit the exact application.’
‘The 4x4R is really about flexibility and changing needs,’ adds said Brad Lunde, President of TransAudio Group. ‘When you need to split inputs to multiple outputs without sacrificing quality, it’s the perfect solution. Broadcast users may use the KickBox for press splits, but the 4x4R is ideal for rental or live sound use.’
