HHB Communications has appointed Patrick Belcher as Service Engineer, bringing the company’s count of experienced and trained engineers with specialist technical knowledge to eight.
Before joining HHB, Belcher studied Audio Technology at the University of Salford. He also has experience as a freelance sound engineer and a professional DJ. Initially hired for a work placement as part of his degree, he was subsequently offered a full-time position. Based in HHB’s 2,000-sq-ft Technical Department in London, Belcher reports to Service Manager Rachid Amini.
‘The experience and guidance I gained during my work placement made me realise how much I enjoy working at HHB, so I was very happy to accept the full-time position,’ he comments. ‘The equipment and resources at HHB are state-of-the-art, and I feel privileged to join a team with such a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise.’
HHB has invested more than £250,000 in analogue and digital test equipment, making its facilities Europe's largest independent pro audio support centre. This is complemented by a massive stock of spare parts, which ensures that all repairs are made in a fast and efficient manner.
‘We immediately saw talent in Patrick during his work placement and knew that he would be a great permanent addition to the team,’ says. ‘We now have eight full-time staff dedicated to providing the high levels of after-sales support that our customers have grown accustomed to over the years.
