Tascam has appointed Jim Mack as Executive Vice President for the Tascam, TEAC Professional and Consumer Audio divisions in the US.
Mack rejoins TEAC after a ten-year absence to lead sales, business development, product planning, finance, operations, sourcing, and logistics for the Tascam and TEAC Audio brands.
‘I’m thrilled to be back at TEAC and working with the dynamic team both here in the US and in Japan,’ he says. ‘TEAC has a long history of building innovative, rock solid products, and I am looking forward to engaging the dealer channel and reinvigorating the brand.’
After working as a manufacturer’s sales rep, Mack became VP of Sales & Marketing for Alesis in 2001. As Partner and VP of Sales and Business Development of SaneWave, he developed relationships and products for some of the largest names in pro audio, including Tascam. From there he stepped into the role of CEO at PreSonus, doubling revenue in less than three years, making the company Music Trade’s fastest growing company for two consecutive years.
‘Jim brings a unique perspective to the business from his diverse background, combined with his prior experience with the people and capabilities of TEAC,’ says Koichiro Nakamura, President of TEAC America. ‘I look forward to working with Jim to make our vision for TEAC Consumer Audio and Tascam a reality.’
