Genelec has added Howard Jones to its sales and marketing in the role of International Project Manager.
Based in Cambridge, UK, Jones joins the Finnish loudspeaker manufacturer from an 11-year stint as Director of Distributed Brands with Source Distribution, and now has responsibility for consulting with the Genelec team on global sales and marketing. Jones already has a strong connection with the Genelec brand through his previous role with Source, which has been the exclusive distributor for Genelec products in the UK since 2007.
One of the first responsibilities that Jones has been tasked with is the overseeing of the world’s first Genelec Experience Centre in central London, which provides a showcase for Genelec’s loudspeaker technology by allowing visitors to audition studio and A/V install models in stereo, surround and immersive audio configurations. Jones’ goal is also to make the Experience Centre a major hub for pro audio activity in London, by co-ordinating a regular program of clinics and seminars that bring professionals together to network and learn more about the very latest in audio technologies.
