Avid has announced that VP of Platform & Solutions, Tim Claman, is now responsible for the company’s audio solutions following the departure of Tim Carroll, former VP of Audio Products.
Claman’s career to date includes working as an editor, sound designer and mixer. He joined Avid as a Senior Product Manager for Pro Tools in 1998. Over 14 years with the company, he has played a major role in shaping technology and product strategies while rising to CTO. Leaving to work as CTO at Snell Advanced Media and Quantel from 2013 to 2015, Claman rejoined Avid in February 2016 as VP of Platform & Solutions.
Tim Carroll has left the company to become Group CEO of the Focusrite Group: ‘I leave knowing the product team is in great hands with Tim Claman at the helm of such a passionate and dedicated team of professionals,’ he says. ‘I look forward to continuing Focusrite and Avid’s current partnership and looking for new ways to work together.’
