Distributed audio ecosystem specialist Bluesound Professional has announced the integration of Custom Channels, a commercially licensed streaming music service providing curated music mixes for the hospitality, retail and wellness industries, and the Qsic automated and intelligent audio system for delivering in-store or in-venue sound. All BluOS enabled devices from Bluesound Professional will be prompted for an update in March 2020, which will then enable Custom Channels as a streaming service option. Similarly Qsic music streaming will become available to customers in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
‘Most businesses don’t realise the legal risks of streaming music from their personal accounts on typical consumer music streaming services,’ says Bluesound Professional Vice-President/General Manager, Graeme Harrison. ‘We are pleased to offer an additional commercially-licensed streaming option for our customers who are especially conscious of using music to create branded environments.’
Colorado-based Custom Channels specialises in human curated music mixes that ensure consistency of style and volume level from track to track, while also minimising repetition and eliminating explicit material. With a number of price tiers and service options, Custom Channels offers businesses control over their brand and customer experience. ‘This integration will strengthen Bluesound Professional as a commercial audio provider and further Custom Channels’ commitment to providing fully licensed music solutions via some of the most trusted and reliable platforms commercially available,’ says Custom Channels Director of Operations, Kurt Oleson.
Qsic is a robust music management system that offers rich browsing and search functionality, along with value-added services including custom curation and branded audio content development. ‘In Bluesound Professional we think we have found a great partner that can evolve with us,’ says Nick Larkins, Co-Founder and Global Head of Product at Qsic. ‘The BluOS platform is amongst the most robust we have seen and we are excited to see what is possible in relation to how deeply our two platforms can be integrated.’
