Visitor numbers topped 110,000 (from 108,425 in 2010) from 124 countries.
Visitors from abroad represented a 37 per cent share of the total, with Germany, the Netherlands leading Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Austria and Great Britain, Poland, Sweden and Russia. Exhibitors and visitors alike were able to make use of the Prolight + Sound app for iPhones and Android smartphones for the first time. ‘With this app, we offer visitors a useful supplementary service before and during the fair,’ the organiser said.
The next Musikmesse and Pro Light & Sound fairs will be held from 21 to 24 March, 2012. In addition, NAMM and Messe Frankfurt announced their intention to stage joint shows in Moscow in 2012.
