Changes to Midas and Klark Teknik’s North American distribution see Midas Consoles North America set up as a wholly-owned business unit of parent company, the Music Group.

Part of ‘a complete reorganisation of the way in which M/KT products are brought to market in the US and Canada’, MKT customer support will remain with Midas Consoles North America’s Jay Easley, supported by existing members of his customer support and service team. ‘Midas and Klark Teknik customers will have the reassurance of continuing to deal with their existing M/KT representatives and dealers,’ says Easley, who has worked with the brands in the US for 12 years. ‘They will doubtless be delighted that we are taking this opportunity to become more price competitive in certain product areas, by returning margin to the end-user.’

The new distribution model promises improved accessibility to service, focused product and specialist technical support, a closer relationship between end user and manufacturer and more competitive pricing on many products. ‘We are excited about our expansion in North America and believe this reorganisation adds increased value for our customer base,’ says VP of Customer Support, Jonathan Chitty. ‘We have been successfully running this model of M/KT customer support in the UK for a number of years, and its perfect timing to roll this out in North America.’
