Shure and Audinate have agreed licencing of Audinate’s Dante digital audio networking technology.
Under the arrangement, the first Shure products to include Dante networking are the ULXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver and ULXD4Q Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver. These dual and quad channel systems are part of the new ULX-D wireless line and are launched at InfoComm 2012.
‘Shure chose to work with Audinate because they deliver a robust, scalable, flexible networking solution that is easy to set up and configure,’ says Christine Schyvinck, Executive VP of Global Marketing & Sales. ‘Dante networking will enable future Shure products to be seamlessly integrated with network-based audio-visual systems in all types of applications. We’re happy to join the growing list of companies that are embracing Dante.’
‘We have been working closely with Shure on these exciting new products for quite some time and are thrilled to see these innovative networked products come to market,’ adds Audinate’s CEO, Lee Ellison. ‘Shure is known for its superior performance, and we expect that the networked ULXD family of digital wireless receivers will be a game changer.’
