Merging Technologies has recruited Amptec bvba to handle its distribution in Belgium. The new appointment marks the end of Mergin’s prior partnership with Puretec, which has withdrawn from professional audio.
Amptec has a solid reputation for systems integration and providing a high-level of technical support and after-sales service. The company is well known in the installation sector but is also a significant supplier to the broadcast and recording markets. This profile fits the Merging product range and mirrors the changing product mix coming from the Swiss marque.
Amptec handles a wide range of brands, including Ravenna partners Lawo and Innovason.
‘Amptec has made a significant investment in value added and customer support programmes,’ says Chris Hollebone, Merging’s Distribution Sales Manager. ‘Even though there are some competitive brands, the company has a reputation of giving the clients what they want and offering packages that make sense.’
‘Amptec is strong in each market sector where Merging has products and we can look forward to a significant growth in sales in coming months,’ adds Harald Vanherf, Amptec Sales Director. ‘Merging Technologies is one of those brands that we have admired for a long time and we really welcome the opportunity to develop the market in Belgium. With superb products like Horus, Ovation and Pyramix, as well as specialist items like MXFix and VCube, we feel confident that we can do a great job.’
Although Amptec has offices in Netherlands, Merging distribution here remains with Maarten Sound & Vision, a Merging partner of many years’ standing.
