The agreement follows President & CEO of Roland systems Group EMEA, Paulo Caius, visiting NMK in Dubai. According to NMK, ‘the business philosophy of Roland systems Group, as well as the contents of its catalogue and the strategic plans of expansion in the Middle East, perfectly meets the market knowledge, business philosophy, future perspectives and prestige of Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronic Enterprises.
Headquartered in Dubai, NMK has been operating since 1984, focusing on the audio, video and lighting industries. From its original grounding in Sharjah, the company has become a leading distributor of professional audio, video and lighting products in the Middle East. Its portfolio of reputable brands, is backed by a dynamic operations team and a strong financial foundation.
The distribution deal follows the earlier announcement from the US that the ‘RSS by Roland’ professional audio equipment and Edirol brand of video equipment have been consolidated under the Roland name, taking effect with products released on or after 1 September 2010. The the ‘Cakewalk by Roland’ brand, which provides PC music-related hardware and software, will specialise in software.
Part of the Japanese Roland Corporation Group, RSG will manage its Middle East business from its EMEA base in Barcelona, Spain.
