Japan builds interest in analogue recording

API has sold a further 1608 analogue mixing console to Japanese. The sale is the third in less than two years, and builds on the US manufacturer’s 40-year history with the Asia-Pacific recording market.

‘The Japanese market is a critical component of API’s success in the Asia-Pacific,’ says Dan Zimbelman, API Director of Sales. ‘The Asia Pacific Media Group (APMG) is serving as our exclusive representation, including India and all of Southeast Asia. APMG will also represent API’s new line of recording equipment, JDK Audio.’

‘API manufactures the best analogue equipment in the world and has been doing so for decades,’ says Hide Suzuki, director of MixWave, API’s Japanese distributor. ‘The industry’s renewed interest in imparting an analogue sound on digital recordings keeps heightening the interest in API.’
