The first of the seminar’s two days covers broadcast, focusing on digital audio technology, creative workflow and speed, as well as microphone and monitoring technology for surround. Attention shifts to studio production and mastering on the second day, covering the latest technology and how it can be used to attain the best from a set-up.
Designed to give engineers, producers and other creative audio enthusiasts the opportunity to learn from world leading experts, the seminars are hosted by Prism Sound in association with UK magazine Sound on Sound, and feature presentations by Prism Sound founding partner Graham Boswell; radio producer and sound designer Pete Nash; and Hugh Robjohns, Sound on Sound's Technical Editor.
All registered attendees will be entered into a prize draw to win either an Prism Sound Orpheus or a copy of the new native Sadie 6 Sound Suite audio production software.
The UK Mic to Master sessions continue, meanwhile, with Audient joining forces with Prism Sound on a series of two-day workshops focusing on recording techniques, mixing and mastering. Visitors will have the chance to engage in discussion and learn tips and tricks of the trade from the likes of Tony Platt, Al Stone and Simon Heyworth. The first of these is scheduled for 22/23 October at LIPA in Liverpool, with a further five to be announced before the end of the year
