A new HD OB truck put into service by Dubai-based Se7en Production & Events has been equipped with a Pro6 Live Audio System to handle mixing and processing duties. The installation marks the 10th Midas Pro console in the Middle East.
Production and events company Se7en acquired the truck during the summer and refurbished to cover major regionalevents, including sports, live performances and national celebrations. It is the first OB truck in the Middle East to be fitted with a Midas digital console, and the second use of a Pro6 in an OB truck anywhere in the world.
Among the features of the Pro6 designed for live broadcast work are redundant power supplies, redundant processing and redundant links. ‘The system supports 5.1 mixes out of the box as the truck is HD, and it also allows them to have their own mix at a concert rather then relying on the mix from FOH,’ says Richie Hiranandani, Marketing Manager for NMK - exclusive distributor of Midas and Klark Teknik products in the United Arab Emirates. ‘For broadcast applications, the Pro6 provides great flexibility and more importantly confidence to Se7en as the system is both modular and redundant on various levels.’
