Responding to the company’s rapid growth in the forensic and security arenas, Cedar Asia will be re-designated Cedar Security (Asia and the Middle East). This will enable David Robinson, Cedar’s regional manager in these territories, to concentrate on supporting the company’s security customers across the region.
‘It seems only yesterday that we established Cedar Asia, but it was actually ten years ago,’ says Cedar MD, Gordon Reid. ‘The ensuing decade has seen tremendous growth, and we now have important customers in countries right across the region, particularly in the important areas of surveillance and counter-terrorism. Cedar Security will focus on these important areas, making full use of David Robinson’s enormous experience in the fields of security and audio forensics.’
To complement this, Cedar Audio will be creating a wider Asia and Middle East distribution network to handle the equally important areas of postproduction, broadcast, mastering, live sound, and archives and libraries, and will be inviting selected companies to apply for dealerships in numerous countries across the region.
‘An accredited distribution network that understands audio restoration and noise suppression is the best way to provide sales and support for our mainstream products such as dialogue noise suppressors, rackmount processors, converters, and plug-ins,’ Reid says, ‘By providing a direct path to Cedar Audio in the UK, we will be able to help them to respond rapidly to customers’ needs, giving dealers and end-users direct access to more that two decades of the highest levels of pro-audio expertise.’
Cedar Audio will exhibit at Broadcast Asia 2011.
