Waves Audio has teamed up with Musicsoft Arts to develop Mashup, an iPad app that claims to be ‘a complete mobile DJ booth’.
Providing playback a
nd effects, Mashup uses the iPad’s music library and adds EQ and analogue-style resonant filters, Vinyl Touch glitch-free scratching, and independent time-stretch and pitch-shift for each of its two stereo decks.
DJs can also use Waves MaxxAudio, which includes MaxxVolume dynamics control to dramatically increase the output levels of headphones and external speakers; MaxxBass psycho-acoustic bass enhancement for ‘deep, rich lows’; and preset sound modes for earbuds, headphones, docking stations, home entertainment and club systems.
