The Altinex SP300-100 A/V Connectivity Package comprises the TNP128 Tilt ’N Plug Jr. interconnect box, a VP500-100 HDMI to VGA converter and an MX2106AV 2 x 1 auto-switcher as its principal components.
The SP300-100 provides a single audiovisual, data and power access point with the capability to support VGA and HDMI computer sources and output them to the display device as a VGA image with audio follow.
The TNP128 Tilt ’N Plug Jr interconnect box incorporates a female VGA (15-pin) connector, an HDMI V1.3 connector, a female 3.5mm audio jack, an RJ-45 – Cat6 Ethernet port, plus a grounded, 90/120V AC power connector. These ports facilitate analogue connections for picture and sound, for uses such as patching a notebook computer to a presentation system. Similarly, the RJ-45 port allows access to data on a corporate network. Altinex also has the TNP128C Tilt ’N Plug Jr. interconnect box, which offers more than different Keystone snap-in options in lieu of the Ethernet port. Bezels for these tabletop interconnect units include a black anodized/matte finish and a brushed aluminium anodised finish.
The VP500-100 HDMI to VGA converter receives HDMI from the TNP128 and converts the audio and video feeds before passing them on to the Altinex MX2106AV 2 x 1 auto-switcher. The MX2106AV outputs the analogue audio and video (VGA) signals to the audio system and projector/video display.
‘The SP300-100 not only provides complete analogue-digital integration, it offers contractors an upgradeable, drop-in solution to existing analog-only Altinex tabletop systems,’ says Phil Hale, Altinex VP of Sales and Marketing. ‘Simply pushing down on the front of the top cover causes its latching mechanism to release, enabling the pneumatic spring to raise the unit into position and ready to accept connections. Connect a laptop or other source and the system is ready for business.’
