Clear-Com has announced ProGrid, a fibre-based infrastructure system for transportation and distribution of audio, intercom, video and control data that takes the company into markets that require fibre-based signal distribution. The introduction means that Clear-Com can now provide end-to-end solutions for many types of installations that require signal distribution.
ProGrid is based on the open AES3 and AES10 (Madi) standards, providing fibre-based transport, routing and format conversion as well as distribution of audio, intercom, video and control data with full management and diagnostic capabilities over the Optocore SANE platform.
Clear-Com also offers the BroaMan MUX-22 video distribution device, which further broadens the company’s distribution capabilities to include up to eight 3G/HD-SDI video signals. The MUX-22 can operate with the ProGrid systems or as a standalone solution.
‘ProGrid represents a major advancement for Clear-Com and its customers,’ says Clear-Com President, Bob Boster. ‘We can now provide our customers with the distribution backbone for any kind of installation – from live events and theatrical presentations to broadcasts and sports events – with the additional benefit of the Clear-Com global support network.’
