Peavey Commercial Audio has released details of its MediaMatrix Claro meeting and conference processor.
Intended for boardroom, courtroom, lecture theatre and classroom meeting conferencing applications, Claro is a single rack space audio processing frame providing 12 balanced microphone/line level inputs with eight line outputs plus a Telephony POTS RJ-11 connection. All analogue I/O has studio grade preamplification, supporting selectable phantom power and assignable acoustic echo cancelation (AEC) at eight inputs.
Claro’s DSP engine and software has been engineered to allow system configuration of complex audio path routing, dynamic processing plus expanded control demanded by novice users. Control and configuration of can be done from any smart device or computer using a web browser supporting HTML-5 over a local network or from the new MediaMatrix nTouch-180H and kiosk-180H controller touchscreens
Additionally, Claro’s back panel features multiple connection ports for interfacing and controlling third-party devices such as motorised projection screens, data projectors, presentation monitors plus lighting and HAVC control via the rear panel. Here, users benefit from 12 DLIO (Digital Logic Input/Output) connections, RS485 and RS232 ports plus built-in GBit network switch for external control and future expansion.
Claro contains a complete range of DSP processing, covering extensive dynamic control on all input and output channels, automatic and manual mixing capabilities and signal routing including meters, plus signal generators for system testing and configuration. All DSP devices are accessible via an external GUI using any HTML-5 supported web browser over a local area network.
‘Claro has been designed and crafted with ease of use in mind for Installers and end-users alike,’ says Peavey Commercial Audio EMEA Operations Manager, James Kennedy. ‘Claro is a fixed and compiled engine which doesn’t rely on the conventional software approach, instead Claro serves up web pages for intuitive control and configuration accessible from a Web browser. We believe this approach will simplify the installation process saving our customers valuable time and money.’
