ARX Systems has released the NetSplit Dante Digital-to-Analogue Distribution Splitter, which extracts audio from a the Dante protocol network and converts it to studio-quality, transformer-isolated, low-latency analogue audio suitable for connection to multiple amplifiers, powered loudspeaker arrays, mixing consoles and other analogue audio devices using standard Ethernet hardware and cabling.
Extending operating flexibility the NetSplit can be operated in either of two input modes, Dante or Analogue. In Dante Mode, it will extract two channels of digital audio from the network via a RJ45 Ethernet input, and split them to two channels of 1:4 splitter/distribution amplifier. In Analogue Mode ,it can take two channels of analogue audio, and split them to two channels of 1:4 splitter/distribution amplifier.
‘Dante has become the long-awaited standard for digital audio distribution in production and install professional audio,’ says ARX MD, Colin Park. ‘The new NetSplit is the second product in our Dante-enabled range, which we will be further developing and expanding through into 2018.’
