Audient has added the iD44 to its line of desktop audio interfaces.
The iD44 provides four class-A Audient console mic preamps, offering 60dB of gain, all-new class-leading converter technology, options for digital expansion, new intuitive, mix-focussed software designed for ease-of-use when managing large sessions, a potential I/O of 20-inputs/24-outputs and all-metal build.
The Adat I/O supports the addition of up to 16 further channels of mic preamps, for larger sessions, such as tracking a live band or miking a drum kit. Channels 1 & 2 also feature two fully balanced insert points for use of external compressors, reverbs and EQs while recording or providing direct access to the analogue digital converters for print-backs, FX processing or integrating outboard analogue line level sources.
A forthcoming Windows drivers update will also provide significant performance enhancements, offering reduced buffer sizes and operation at lower latency.
