Waves Audio has launched StudioVerse, an online network of plug-in chains, available directly to a DAW that includes thousands of presets for entire plug-in chains, with Musical AI searching. Waves has also introduced its subscription service, Waves Creative Access, which includes the entire Waves plug-in catalogue.
Each chain in StudioVerse can be considered a shortcut to a professionally produced or mixed track. The chains are created by renowned producers and mixers, including Young Guru, Chris Lord-Alge, Manny Marroquin. StudioVerse is also an open platform, where anyone can upload and share chains at any time.
The most notable aspect of StudioVerse is its Musical AI search engine, which recommends the best chains for specific tracks. Clicking the Scan button prompts StudioVerse’s machine learning engine to learn a track’s ‘Audio ID’ and recommend mixing chains matching its sonic fingerprint. In addition, StudioVerse chains can be searched by free text search and using tags, classified by instrument, genre or various sonic characteristics.

With Waves Creative Access, all Waves plug-ins are available in a subscription service. (Current owners of Waves plug-ins will continue to own the existing versions of their plug-ins.) Waves Creative Access subscriptions include all future updates for the included plug-ins, as well as new plug-ins added regularly.
Waves Creative Access offers two subscription levels, each available as a monthly or annual subscription. The larger option, Waves Ultimate includes all Waves plug-ins (upwards of 220) at US$24.99 per month or US$249.99 per year. Waves Essential includes more than 110 plug-ins covering essential mixing and vocal production needs at US$14.99 per month or US$149.99 per year.
Waves Creative Access subscriptions are for plug-ins only. Waves application such as eMotion LV1, SuperRack, SoundGrid Rack for Venue and Dugan Speech are still available individually.
