Waves Audio is shipping Ionic 16, a 16-input/12-output SoundGrid stagebox with Waves Signature Preamps, designed to complement Waves eMotion LV1 live mixer.
At the heart of Ionic 16 are Waves Signature Preamps – newly designed with fully discrete high-end analogue circuits, delivering high headroom, fast transient response and a low noise floor. The Preamps use an analogue modelled HMX harmonic enhancer, which can also be turned on or off per input, with ‘off’ providing a more neutral sound.
Ionic 16 enables enhanced use of stage microphones as its preamp section’s analogue impedance selector offers the choice of a classic 2kΩ and a modern 7kΩ, for greater sonic flexibility.
Ionic 16 provides seamless integration and connectivity to any eMotion LV1 system, ensuring quick and easy set up without time spent on manual configuration. Ionic’s control panel is available in the LV1’s device rack, providing control over various parameters in preamps and outputs directly from the mixer.
