Waves Audio has announced an expanded line of stageboxes designed to work with the eMotion LV1 Software mixer. Following the previously released Ionic 16, the Ionic 24, a 24 mic/line input/18 output, SoundGrid stagebox, is now available for pre-order.
Loaded with Waves Signature Preamps, the Ionic 24 stagebox complements the already sonic performance of the Waves eMotion LV1 Live mixer.
At the heart of Ionic 24’s sound and performance are Waves Signature Preamps – a ground-up design with fully discrete high-end analogue circuits, delivering high headroom, fast transient response and low noise floor. Able to handle any source with practically no restraints, the preamps feature a gain structure crafted to deliver a wide dynamic range and transients that do not clip.
Waves Signature Preamps’ HMX harmonic enhancement offers ‘analogue warmth’ and a more neutral alternative. The HMX harmonic enhancer can be turned on or off per input, with ‘off’ providing a more neutral sound.
Ionic 24 also allows stage mics to be used to their best potential. Its preamp section’s analogue impedance selector offer a choice of mic reaction – a classic 2kΩ and a modern 7kΩ, for greater flexibility.
Ionic 24 provides integration and connectivity to any eMotion LV1 system, ensuring quick and easy set-up without time spent on manual configurations. Ionic’s control panel is available in the LV1’s device rack, providing control over various parameters in preamps and outputs directly from the mixer.
