Mutec has announced the MC1.2+ bi-directional DDC, combining advanced digital audio format conversion capabilities and sound-enhancing performance via USB.
The MC1.2+ converts PCM audio streams via its USB, AES/EBU, AES3/EBUid, and S/P-DIF interface ports. This process can be performed simultaneously – in both directions (input and output) – including via USB.
This flexibility makes the MC1.2+ as relevant modern Hi-Fi setups as professional recording studios, broadcast environments and sound reinforcement systems. It enables lossless signal transfers in real-time between audio interfaces, digital mixers, and effects processors.
This digital-to-digital format converter from Mutec enhances USB audio streams using low-noise audio clock oscillators, which regenerate the signal and isolate the USB power supply. As a result, power supply noise introduced via the USB interface no longer affects digital signal processing. This leads to a significant reduction in digital phase noise and jitter.
The flexible design of the MC1.2+ is further highlighted by its three power supply options: internal, external, and USB bus-powered.
Key featues:
- Bi-directional real-time signal transfer between computers and/or digital audio hardware.
- Interface ports includes USB, AES/EBU, AES/EBUid and S/P-DIF (Toslink, BNC, RCA via adapter).
- Custom-designed asynchronous USB interface.
- Enhanced USB Audio Stream isolates the USB power supply and regenerates the signal.
- Low-noise audio clock oscillators.
- PSU options include internal, external, and USB-bus-powered configurations.
- Comprehensive Windows driver support.
- Fully compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Shielding sheet steel housing with vibration-damping feet for durability and optimal performance.
