Tascam has announced a line of three rackmount clock generators use in recording studios, broadcast and postproduction.
Each unit is equipped with a high-precision internal clock OCXO (Oven Controlled Xtal Oscillator) and optimised for a particular market segment. Tascam claims that they offer a more accurate clock system than a rubidium clock or GPS 10MHz clock, and also excel in jitter management, glitch-free relocking and other advanced functions.
The CG-1000 is a master clock generator for professional recording, Using a high-quality OCXO, it offers accurate and stable clocking, with an external input that supports up to 10MHz.
The CG-1800 is intended for video sync/master clock generator for postproduction, and supports NTSC, PAL, HD Tri-level for video, word, AES 3/11 and SPDIF for audio.
The CG-2000 is a video sync/master clock that is designed to meet the on-site needs of broadcasting and postproduction. This unit improves redundancy for both the power supply and video/audio clock.
