ProCo Sound has announced an Audio-over-Dante (AoD) Output Module, featuring a Dante audio input and two channels of analogue output.
The module take audio signals from any Dante Network and provides two analogue audio outputs – one RJ45 Dante input using two Neutrik NC3MXX series XLR analogue outputs. Cased in n aluminium housing, the module has a 3ft-long hand-soldered analogue audio tail. Its uncomplicated design allows easy connection to a Dante network and provides studio-quality, low-latency audio via the XLR connectors.
The AoD Output Module uses high-quality D/A converters, and supports 44.1kHz, 48kHz and 96kHz sample rates at up to 24 bits. The module uses Power over Ethernet (PoE), in which power is supplied through standard Ethernet cable via a PoE capable network switch. Parameters, such as device names, channel labels, signal routing, sample rates and latency can be configured using the free Dante Controller software.
‘One thing that makes this product especially exciting is that it is PoE compliant and there is no need for batteries or a power supply. These modules are truly plug-and-play,’ says Darius Seabaugh, VP of marketing for parent company, RHC Audio.
