B&C Speakers has announced the 21DS115 21-inch subwoofer. Featuring a 30mm long, 4.5-inch diameter (116mm) copper-clad aluminium wire voice coil, the 21DS115 has a 1.7kW AES power rating, 99dB sensitivity. The company claims it to be ‘a significant step forward’ from similar models in its range, approaching the performance of he 6-inch voice coil alternative.

‘This next evolution subwoofer uses a longer, four-layer aluminium voice coil,’ says Ron Tizzard, Director of Sales for B&C Speakers. ‘The result is more energy in the gap, higher sensitivity, lower distortion and better overall performance.’
