dBTechnologies has added the ES1002 to its ES (Entertainment System) Series of plug-and-play column systems.

Powerful for its compact size, this complete PA system is designed for a quick and simple set-up, for musicians and DJs on the move. ES1002 comes with a subwoofer and a single mounted column top, both powered by a class-D DigiPro G3 amplifier delivering an impressive 1.8kW peak.

The top satellite is equipped with 8x4-inch mid-high drivers, whose alignment allows an asymmetrical vertical coverage, avoiding any wasted dispersion of sound above the audience. Moreover, each mid-high range driver is provided with a newly designed phase-plug designed to widen the horizontal coverage while still guaranteeing a crisp and clear listening experience from every listening position and vocal range.

The sub encompasses 2x12-inch woofers in bass-reflex configuration, the amplifier module and the control panel, whose inclined design improves usability. The I/O section allows up to two inputs (XLR mono and RCA stereo with independent volume controls) and provides a balanced link out to feed a second system or a stage monitor. A rotary selector with eight user presets helps tune the system, adapting it to different environments and uses (playback, live music, speech, etc.).

The road-ready enclosures of both top and sub of the ES1002 are made of plywood, coated with an incredibly durable scratch-resistant finish.
