Amate Audio has announced the Nítid N12W 1kW active subwoofer, targeting low-profile applications and tight spaces.

Capable of 125dB continuous/128dB peak SPL output, the N12W is loaded with a 12-inch driver (3-inch voice coil) driven by an 800W class-D power amplifier to deliver a frequency response of 38Hz-140Hz.

With 48kHz, 24-bit audio conversion, it uses a 48-bit processing unit that includes factory presets for optimal operation. Current draw during operation with a heavy-duty programme is 1A, while standby mode power consumption is <5W.

The enclosure is constructed of multilayer birch plywood with high-resistant black Polyurea coating, with a 1.5mm steel with black acoustic mesh facia.
