The bi-amplified 2.1kW RCF NX 945-A and NX 932-A provide sound pressure levels suited to open-air applications and over long distances through a combination of purpose-designed transducers, advanced DSP, and a constant directivity waveguide that produces coherent coverage to the listening area.
With 2.1kW power, the two-channel NX 9 class-D amplifier is 50 per cent more powerful than that of previous models, delivering extreme SPLs, ultra-fast transient response and low heat loss.
The ND 840 and ND 940 compression drivers use a 3-inch and a 4-inch voice coil respectively for a crossover at 800Hz and 650Hz. This allows a better impulse response, fast decay and high efficiency. Lightweight RCF neodymium drivers provide optimum performance and reliability.
An advanced woofer excursion management system increases linearity and improves bass punch. The use of Bass Motion Control (BMC) extends the lowest audible frequency without affecting the transducer’s stability, limiting over-excursions for greater reliability and superior performance at high sound levels. RCF’s proprietary FiRPhase and Bass Motion Control algorithms are tuned for each model. Their rugged all-wood cabinet is easy to carry and can be secured for installation on a pole, or flown, or wall-or truss mounted using the multiple rigging points available.
