DAS Audio has added a twin 21-inch subwoofer system, the LX-221, to its LX loudspeaker range.
The LX-221uses two 21-inch loudspeakers equipped with 4.5-inch voice coils, and offers 6.8kW RMS power handling. The 60mm peak-to-peak excursion of the neodymium magnet assembly and double silicone spider with optimised compliance give the system a frequency range of 25Hz to 100Hz, and maximum peak SPL of 145dB.
The enclosure is constructed of 21mm Birch plywood and makes use of extensive bracing to eliminate resonances. The woodwork is finished with the robust DAS ISO-flex protective coating, and a dolly platform with locking casters (PL-LX221) is offered to stack and move the systems. Protection during transport is provided by the optional covers available from DAS.
