Peavey Electronics has announced the launch of the P2 Powered Line Array System.
Describes as ‘a perfect solution for the weekend warrior’, the P2 is intended for use by performing artists and DJs due to its wide audience coverage and low-profile package. It promises levels of sound quality and performance previously unavailable in the portable PA category.
Operationally, the P2 system features eight 4-inch custom high-frequency drivers and a 12’-inch subwoofer. A fan-cooled, it offers 20Hz to 20kHz fidelity. On the rear panel, the P2 offers a three-channel input that is well suited to a singer/songwriter. On Line 1, vocalists will find a variable mic/line input as well as a vocal boost selector. Line 2 offers dual quarter-inch jack inputs, while Line 3 has dual RCA inputs. The P2’s onboard DSP offers frequency boost/cut for a variety of audio applications. An XLR thru output completes the connectivity options.
Packed, the P2 system is 27.44-inches (69.6976cm) wide, (74.00036cm) high and 19.84-inches (50.3936cm) deep. When packed, it weighs 81.13lb (36.8kg) while unpacked it weighs 74.52lb (33.8kg).
The retail cost of the P2 Powered Line Array System is expected to be US$1,155.
