Heritage Audio has announced the Reference Audio Monitoring (Ram) line of three studio loudspeaker monitor switchers – Ram System 500, Ram System 2000 and Ram System 5000.

Heritage Audio Ram System 2000In addition to monitor switching, the Ram systems offer ultra-high current, high level, audiophile quality headphone amplifiers, able to drive high or low impedance without coloration or noise. All models share the same technology and core analogue audio path, from the small Ram System 500, to the full featured, 5.1 ready, Ram System 5000.

Employing gold plated relay switching throughout – including a 64-step relay ladder attenuator system for the master level – the Ram systems offer flexibility and high-quality audio paths.

Ram System 500 features:

  • Two slot wide 500 Series module.
  • Threee stereo inputs, including front panelNeutrik Combo.
  • Bluetooth input (AAC, APTX and SBC).
  • One stereo speaker output.
  • One high current headphone output.
  • 20dB Dim, Mute and Mono functions.

Ram System 2000 features:

  • Desktop format.
  • Three pairs of balanced +4dB analogue inputs (Input 3 unbalanced -10dB configurable).
  • Independent Cue input.
  • Burr Brown 92kHz, 24-bit DAC input on SPDIF.
  • Bluetooth input.
  • Three pairs of outputs.
  • Independent mix output (follows Input, pre fader).
  • Independent subwoofer output.
  • Mute/solo functions for individual speakers.
  • Two user-assignable preset levels for easy recalling of common settings.
  • Talkback with console-like management.
  • Two high-current, diamond buffer based, headphone amplifiers.
  • LED metering.

Ram System 5000 features:

  • Wireless remote and main rack mounted unit.
  • Wireless talkback.
  • Configurable for 5.1 or stereo use.
  • Four pairs of balanced +4dB analogue inputs in stereo mode.
  • 5.1 input plus additional stereo +4dB analogue input in stereo mode.
  • One pair of unbalanced inputs in RCA connectors.
  • Wolfson WM8741 192kHz, 24-bit DAC (AES/EBU, SPDIF, Toslink).
  • Four pairs of cue inputs on D-sub connectors.
  • 5.1 output plus two more stereo 5.1 mode.
  • Five pairs of stereo outputs in stereo mode.
  • Independent mix output (follows Input, pre fader).
