Next-proaudio has released Audio Tool software for configuring its full range of passive speakers, as well as the company’s digital and analogue amplifiers, M Series, MA Series and Powersoft X Series.

The software includes amplifier and speaker databases, with parameters particular to each speaker and amplifier model to enable it to calculate an optimum configuration for a specific application. Users can automatically determine the best combination of loudspeakers and amplifiers in order to get the best performance from both devices based on the speaker model and how many units per amplifier channel are to be used. Additionally, Audio Tool is capable of automatically calculating the limiter settings such as Threshold, Attack and Release Times regarding the whole system settings.

There is also a manual mode that allows users to select which models of speaker and amplifier to determine the limiters and see the system performance through two intuitive colour gauges.
