NAD Electronics has introduced its new Modular Series – ‘designed to redefine custom installation audio’.
The Modular Series offering comprises three products romising ‘exceptional audio performance, seamless integration, and user-friendly design’, in a compact 1/3U width x 1U-high form factor.
The NAD CI S1 Single Zone Streamer is versatile streaming solution for music playback; the NAD CI SA2-120 BluOS Streaming Amplifier combines a powerful amplifier with BluOS integration for high-resolution multi-room streaming; and the NAD CI PA4-60 4 Channel Power Amplifier is robust power amplifier engineered for superior efficiency and scalability
‘These products are the first step in a new ultra-compact, scalable platform specifically for the CI market. We approached this with a focus on rack efficiency and flexibility, while delivering advanced features and the audio quality that you’d expect from NAD’ says CI Product Manager, Peter Gibb. ‘They will give integrators the tools required to meet the latest demands of audio system design, in any size or type of project.’
Part of the BluOS ecosystem, the NAD CI Modular series uses the same interface for high-resolution music streaming and multi-zone audio management. BluOS is widely recognised for its stability, intuitive control and integration capabilities with leading control systems.
In addition to the new Modular Series, NAD’s CI DSP amplifier range has been updated with a new and improved UI. The CI 8-150 DSP, CI 8-120 DSP, and CI 16-60 DSP feature an intuitive dashboard that displays live status for remote checks. The updated Zones page allows easy grouping of channels, zone-specific sleep functions, and global input flexibility. The improved DSP section adds limiters, delay and phase control for subwoofer integration. Additional upgrades include improved layout, power management, password protection, reduced boot-up time, and enhanced third-party API integration with expanded remote monitoring.
The NAD CI Modular products are expected to start shipping in July 2025.
