Following Wohler’s recent acquisition of RadiantGrid it has released the New Media Automation Platform, claiming ‘a more efficient solution for file-based creation, standards conversion, QC, and distribution of media’. The system also augments and integrates with trafficking, rights management, linear automation, and business process management systems.
At the heart of the platform is RadiantGrid’s TrueGrid (an enhanced, robust media transformation and parallel processing engine) coupled with underlying content management that uses intelligent media processing functions capable of extremely quick operation. With this engine, RadiantGrid manages everything from faster-than-real-time transcoding and audio processing to more complex processing, such as faster-than-real-time standards conversion, mixed cadence correction, video optimisation and audio loudness conformance.
