Røde has announced a dual transmitter version of its Wireless ME ‘grab-and-go’ wireless mic for content creators.
Having pioneered the ultra-compact wireless mic category with the Wireless Go, Wireless Go II and, most recently, the Wireless Pro and Wireless ME, Røde is to release Wireless ME as a limited-edition dual set, featuring two transmitters and one receiver, available in either black or white.
The Wireless ME combines the same sound quality and features of Røde wireless microphones with unprecedented ease of use. In addition to its Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission and universal compatibility with cameras, smartphones and computers, the Wireless ME features Røde’s GainAssist technology, which uses intelligent algorithms that automatically control audio levels on-the-fly, delivering professional sound quality with no set-up or tweaking.
It is also the only wireless microphone with a mic built into the receiver for recording audio from in front of and behind the camera simultaneously, suiting it to capturing interviews and voiceovers for video content.
The dual Wireless ME offers further possibilities to creators, allowing recording of two subjects simultaneously, or three when the in-built receiver mic is activated. The option to get the Wireless ME in white instead of the original black will also appeal to creators who are looking for a discreet solution when working with talent who typically wear lighter coloured clothing – from wedding videographers to business professionals – or creators who simply prefer a white aesthetic.
This follows the recent release of the limited-edition white collection of Røde products, including the RødeCaster Duo, PodMic, PSA1+ and NTH-100, and represents Røde’s ongoing pursuit of audio solutions for all types of creators.
The dual Wireless ME will be available in Spring 2024 for US$199.
