Audio-Technica has developed new transmitter and receiver antennas and both handheld and lavalier microphones for its ATCS-60 infrared conference system.
Designed to increase the operating range of the ATCS-60 and allow greater portability, the new antenna system comprises the ATCS-A60MX controller unit, ATCS-A60TX transmitter and ATCS-A60RX receiver.
The ATCS-A60RX more than doubles the range of the current ATCS-60 system (to approximately 15m), allowing use in high-ceiling locations an installations where antennas are positioned from the side. This adds flexibility for use in changing conference environments.
The ATCS-A60MX controller unit can drive up to four ATCS-A60TX transmitters (which have a range of 20m) and four ATCS-A60RX receivers – up to four controllers can be connected to the ATCS-C60 central unit to allow for a maximum of sixteen transmitters and receivers to be employed in an installation.
Both antennas have quarter-inch thread mounting, and it is possible to locate TX and RX units directly next to one another.
The ATIR-T88 handheld microphone and ATIR-T85 lavalier microphones add further flexibility to the ATCS system, allowing speakers mobility in a conference environment. Their infrared wireless signal is secure within the room (unlike UHF and 2.4GHz systems).
Up to three ATIR-T88/ATIR-T85 microphones can be used simultaneously with one ATCS-C60 master control unit and up to five audio lines can be used at the same time with a combination of ATIR-T88, ATIR-T85 and the standard ATCS-M60 delegate unit.
Recommended UK/Europe prices are: ATCS-A60MX £2,209 (inc VAT)/€2,209 (ex VAT); ATCS-A60RX £980 (inc VAT)/€980 (ex VAT); ATCS-A60TX £890 (inc VAT)/€890 (ex VAT). Both the ATIR-T88 handheld and ATIR-T85 lavalier mics have a recommended retail price of £399 (inc VAT)/€399 (ex VAT).
