Home to the citys’ most fashionable pubs, bars and nightclubs the Bandra suburb of Mumbai has a new venue in the form of Royalty. A Banda nightclub, Royalty mixes European renaissance and Indian royalty décor with Mumbai’s best dance music delivered by a DAS Audio sound system.
Now under the ownership of Bollywood actor-director Sohail Khan, Royalty lavishes designer drinks and breathe oxygen-pumped air on its guests, while a mezzanine VIP area, Baroque-style cigar room, and the Royalty VVIP lounge overlooking the club cater for every whim.
Local sound reinforcement company Sound & Light Professionals handled the technical installation. After analysing the acoustics, SLP technicians turned to a DAS Audio system as their preferred solution – specifically, six Aero 38 line array systems. These are paired with six LX-218CA subwoofers for low frequency support, with five Avant 12A side fill systems keep the sound level high.
Headline acts DJ Ameyth, DJ Willy and DJ Loyd have performed at Royalty, with DAS Avant 12A powered two-way loudspeakers as DJ monitors, paired with Avant 18A for extended bass. To ensure that the sound reached all corners of the club, the technicians installed four Arco 4 systems in Royalty’s VVIP lounge. Both compact and light, the Arco 4 loudspeakers are small, powerful and blend with the décor in Royalty’s most luxurious area. Three DAS Audio DSP-4080 signal processors were also installed, along with eight H-4000 amplifier units to power the loudspeakers.
