Bieger Sound in Berlin, Greystoke Studio in London and Grouse Lodge in Ireland are the latest additions to Miloco’s directory of recording studios. The new studios extend a directory that already tops 90 recording facilities located around the world.
The news follows the arrival of Studios 301 Byron Bay-and-Studios 301 Sydney – Miloco’s first partners in Australia – and the recent completion of a new studio for Mute Records by Miloco Builds. The news facilities cover music recording, writing/recording and residential recording. All have extensive equipment inventories…
Bieger Sound is the third studio that Miloco has partnered with located in the centre of Berlin. Owned and solely operated by producer/engineer Hannes Bieger, the high-end mixing and production studio offers a mastering grade signal path and pristine sonics throughout.
Hannes Bieger is one of the most sought-after mixing engineers specialising in electronic music in the world – and Bieger Sound is reflecting his dedication to crafting sonic beauty from top to bottom. The studio has been built around an uncompromising equipment collection – a blend of vintage and modern, boasting transparency where necessary and character where appropriate.
Recording, writing and mixing facility Greystoke Studio has also recently been added to the Miloco site. The West London studio has been acoustically designed to capture the best sound in the booth, live room and mixing room, and is an ideal space for writing and recording, for bands and solo artists. It has a range of instruments including a synth collection spanning Roland, Korg, Oberheim and Sequential Circuits; a Steinway Baby grand piano; full drum kit; guitars; and other keyboards and organs. The Miloco Builds team completed the extensive acoustic fit out following the studio’s recent rebuild, with Nick Whitaker overseeing the acoustic design.
Just over an hour’s drive from Dublin city/airport, Grouse Lodge has hosted artists as diverse as Bloc Party and Tom Jones since opening its doors in 2002. The Grouse Lodge complex itself includes a world-class studio, along with eight double bedrooms in three separate renovated stone outhouses. Facilities for guests include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, games room, private bar and home cinema/screening room. The studio is purpose-built, integrating the existing 275-year-old stone structure, and features a huge control room with lots of natural daylight and a huge live room with recording acoustics. The studio is equipped with a Neve VR60 console with Flying Faders/Total Recall, a Pro Tools HD3 core system and Dynaudio Professional 5.1 surround monitoring.
