Producer Michael Marquart’s private recording facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia, has recently installed a 32-channel API AXS analogue mixing console.
Marquart is the President of Windmark Recording, a multi-room recording studio complex in Santa Monica, and is well-known for his band A Bad Think and his tenure drumming for the band A Flock of Seagulls. With an extensive list of production credits from having worked with some of the biggest names in music today, he will continue to work with artists on the AXS console.
‘I have long been a big fan of API’s mic preamps and the 550A EQs,’ he says. ‘Now I get all that and a lot more in a large-format desk.’
