Aberdeen-based production company Granite City Events has added Allen & Heath’s flagship dLive S7000 digital mixing console to its hire inventory for use on live music events, festivals and theatre productions.
The purchase – which also included an Allen & Heath DM48 mix rack – was made through AC Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) and handled by Steve Eaton, Sales Executive in the company’s Audio Sales Division.
Granite City operates in Aberdeen and the Scottish Highlands, and calls on more than 20 years’ industry experience for events ranging from concerts and live shows to major weddings and corporate functions.
‘After various discussions with, plus help and advice from Steve, we decided the dLive was the way forward,’ says Granite City Director, Barry Sherriffs. ‘The versatility of dLive, plus the speed of the system, made it perfect for the range of live productions we are involved with. We have used several visiting engineers on events, who have also found the layout and feature-set of the desk ideal.’
dLive, Allen & Heath’s premium console family, is designed with a range of features specifically for professional touring, broadcast, theatres and events, hire, corporate markets and prestige installations. These include a touchscreen interface, 128 input channels with full processing, configurable 64 bus architecture and Deep processing – providing embedded plug-ins and 16 RackExtra FX with dedicated stereo returns. dLive is available in a variety of frame sizes and Mixrack I/O, but all with the same processing power and channel/bus count.
‘Granite City is a great events and hire company that we work very closely with,’ says AC-ET’s Steve Eaton. ‘The dLive’s touring class quality, feature set and very attractive pricing made it the perfect console choice.’
